Troubleshooting

A photo isn't showingA photo that shows as a grey tile is usually still downloading, or was added with no signal and hasn't uploaded yet. Pull to refresh, check your connection, and if it's someone else's photo, check that the asset or trip is shared with you.I was invited but can't see the shared Profile or TripMake sure you're signed in with the exact email the invite went to, that you've accepted the invite (a QR code or link has to be confirmed with Join), and then pull to refresh. A trip shared without its assets shows "Assets aren't shared with you".I've paid for Pro but it isn't unlockedPro belongs to the Apple Account that bought it. Make sure that Apple Account is signed in to the App Store on the phone, open the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases, then check Subscription in Settings. On the website, Pro appears once the iPhone subscription has gone through; reload the page.My assets or trips seem to have goneAlmost always they're safe on your account and just out of view: a different Profile is selected, a filter or search is on, the Profile is archived, or the phone hasn't finished downloading. Check the profile button and All Assets first, then pull to refresh, then force-quit and reopen the app.Notifications aren't arrivingOn the iPhone, allow notifications for Luggage Logger in the iPhone's Settings app, then check the app's own Logging Activity and Manage Notifications switches. Reminders fire from the time on the Stop, so an out-of-date Stop means a mistimed reminder. On the website, notifications need your permission in the browser, and on an iPhone the website has to be on your Home Screen.Signing in on a new iPhone or another deviceSign in with the same email and password and everything on your account downloads: Profiles, assets, packs, trips and logs. Pro follows your Apple Account. A few things are per device: profile colours, Show Advanced Features, notification switches and the calendar's shown Profiles. The app is slow or keeps freezingOn an iPhone, a nearly full phone slows everything, Luggage Logger included: free up space first. Then force-quit and reopen the app, and if a screen stays sluggish, Clear Local Cache in Settings, Cloud Sync, so the phone's copy is rebuilt. The confirmation email hasn't arrivedCheck your spam or junk folder for "Your Luggage Logger confirmation code", check the address you typed, and wait a few minutes. To get a new code, tap Resend Code on the Check Your Email screen, or sign in again with your email and password. Why can't I edit, delete or log something? Roles explainedWhat you can do in a shared Profile or Trip depends on your role: Viewer is read-only, Logger can log cases at Stops, Editor can add and change things, Admin can also manage members, and the Owner can do everything. Stops that Master Tour keeps in sync can only be changed in Master Tour.Working offline, and how your changes reach other peopleThe iPhone app works fully with no signal: everything you add, edit or log is saved on the phone and sent as soon as you're back online, usually within seconds. The website needs a connection to save. Pull down on a list to refresh; Settings, Cloud Sync shows what's still to send.
