Use Luggage Logger on the website

Sign in at luggagelogger.com/app with the same email and password as the iPhone app. On a computer the five pages are in a sidebar on the left; on a phone they're in a tab bar at the bottom, with the profile button top left. Everything in your account is the same on both.

Website only

This isn’t in the iPhone app; it’s on the website.

The website is the same Luggage Logger as the iPhone app, in a browser: go to luggagelogger.com/app and sign in with the email and password you use on your iPhone. It works in an up-to-date browser on a computer, a tablet or an Android phone, and the same profiles, assets, packs and trips are there.

Signing in

  1. Open luggagelogger.com/app. You land on the sign-in page.
  2. Type your Email and Password, then press Sign In. The eye in the password box shows what you've typed.
  3. No account yet? Press Sign Up, fill in your name, email and a password, and type the 6-digit code from the email that arrives.
  4. Forgotten your password? Type your email, then press Forgot Password? and follow the link in the email.

If you opened a link to a trip or an invitation while signed out, you're taken there after signing in.

Website on a computer

On the website (computer)

  • A sidebar runs down the left: your profile at the top (its logo, its name and the word Profile; press it to switch profile or open the menu), a Search box (or press ⌘K / Ctrl+K), then Home, Assets, Packs, Trips and Calendar. The page you're on is tinted blue.
  • The small chevron on Assets opens a list under it: the selected profile's assets, All Assets, and Categories with a count for each.
  • On a tablet, or a half-width window, the sidebar shrinks to a narrow strip of icons with their names under them.
  • Most things that open from a page (a form, a menu) appear in the middle of the window; the profile menu opens beside the sidebar.
  • Right-click anything with actions (an asset, a pack, a trip, a stop) for its menu. The same menu is behind the ··· button that appears when you hover.

Website on a phone

On the website (phone)

  • The profile button (your profile's logo or initials in a circle) is at the top left and a round search button at the top right.
  • The five pages are in a rounded bar floating at the bottom of the screen: Home, Assets, Packs, Trips, Calendar. Tap the page you're already on to go back to its top.
  • Forms and menus slide up from the bottom as sheets; drag one down, or tap the X, to close it. The phone's back button closes the top sheet first, and inside a trip it steps back one level.
  • Press and hold anything with actions for its menu, or tap its ··· button.
  • Settings isn't a tab: it's in the profile menu, at the bottom.

Adding it to your Home Screen

  • Android (Chrome) and a computer (Chrome, Edge): open the profile menu, then Settings, and press Install next to Install Luggage Logger. The row only shows while the browser offers it.
  • iPhone and iPad (Safari): use the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. The iPhone app from the App Store is the better choice on an iPhone.
  • The installed app opens in its own window on Home, and pressing and holding (or right-clicking) its icon offers New Asset, Trips and Logger (the Logger of today's trip).

What syncs with the iPhone app

  • Everything in your account: profiles, assets and photos, packs, trips, stops, logs, documents, your name, your weight, size and clock settings, and the reminders you set on stops. A log made on the website shows on your crew's iPhones at once, and theirs show here.
  • A Pro subscription bought in the iPhone app applies on the website too.
  • Kept on this browser only: Appearance, Show Advanced Features, the Categories and Members filters, the Calendar's Detailed or Compact view and which Profiles it shows, Hide past and Hide Blank Days, a profile colour you set here, and the hand luggage marks and pack grouping in the Logger.

Good to know

  • The help is public at luggagelogger.com/help, no sign-in needed, with a search box and the steps for the iPhone app or the website. Signed in, it's also under Help in the profile menu.
  • The website needs a connection to save. Pages and lists you've opened stay viewable if the signal drops, but nothing you do while offline is kept for later: use the iPhone app for offline logging.
  • Sign out from the profile menu (Sign Out at the bottom) or from Settings.
