Tapping a folder tile on the Assets page opens that folder as its own level, like Files. Each level only shows its own subfolders and the assets filed directly in it.
How to recognise it
- The title is the folder's name.
- Top left: a Back button made of a left chevron and the name of the level above: the profile's name when you came from the top level, or the parent folder's name. The profile button is not shown here.
- There is no Profile | All Assets switch and no Categories capsule. If assets from several people are in the folder, an All Members capsule sits on the right above the grid.
- Top right: the folder-with-+ icon (new subfolder) and the sort circle. The new-folder icon disappears at the deepest level (folders go three levels deep).
- Subfolder tiles (two across) above a four-column grid of this folder's assets.
- An empty folder shows a folder icon with Empty Folder and "Select assets, then tap Folder to move them here."
- Moving between levels is a soft cross-fade, not a slide.
What's on it
- Back: returns to the level above, exactly where you left it. Drag an asset tile onto Back to move it up a level; holding a drag over Back opens that level.
- Subfolder tile: tap to go deeper. Press and hold for the folder menu (Rename, New Subfolder, Assign to Profile, Delete Folder, Remove Assets from <Profile>, Delete Folder and Assets).
- Asset tile: tap for its card; press and hold for Select Multiple, Edit Asset and Change Category (on assets you can edit), Duplicate, Move to Folder, Use as Folder Photo (sets this photo as the folder's picture), Remove from <Profile>, Delete.
- Search: typing in the search bar searches this folder and everything inside it; the folder tiles hide while you search.
- Green +: a new asset, filed straight into this folder.
- Select mode: as on the Assets page, with Folder in the bottom bar to move the selection.
Good to know
- Only the profile's owner, admins and editors can make, rename, delete or file into folders. Viewers and loggers see the folders but get no press-and-hold menu.
- A folder's picture is the first asset inside it with a photo, unless you chose one with Use as Folder Photo.
Common tasks from here
- Move assets between folders: see Folders: organise a profile's assets.
- Select several assets: see Select several assets at once: delete, remove, profiles, folder, category.
