Luggage Logger starts simple. Show Advanced Features is one switch that reveals the tools for bigger tours (paperwork, imports and integrations) without changing anything else. It's off by default and remembered per phone or browser, so the phone can stay simple at the airport while the laptop shows everything. Turning it off hides those tools again but removes nothing you've set up.
iPhone app
On the iPhone app
- Tap the profile button at the top left, then Settings.
- Under Preferences, turn on Show Advanced Features ("Master Tour, the AI connector, importing and exporting, and other tools for bigger tours. Turning this off doesn't remove anything you've already set up.").
With it on, you get:
- In Settings: the Integrations section (Master Tour and AI Connector; see Import a tour from Master Tour (Pro) and The AI connector: use Luggage Logger from Claude or ChatGPT) and Data Management (Export Assets (CSV), Export Trips (CSV), Export Packs (CSV), Import from CSVs and Import Assets (CSV); see CSV import and export (Pro)).
- On Home: the Documents section at the bottom (see Documents: notes, links, files and photos for a profile).
- When adding or editing an asset: On Carnet under the value, with Customs Description and Country of Origin once it's on (see Export an ATA Carnet general list (Pro)).
- On a pack: Export CSV and Export for Carnet in the ··· menu, and the version badge (v2 with a clock once there's more than one version) in the header, which opens the version history (see Pack versions (v2, v3) and version history).
- On a trip's Dates: Hide Blank Days / Show Blank Days in the ··· menu (see The Dates list: a trip's days with venue and hotel).
- On a day's Schedule: the funnel button that narrows the day to chosen people, once stops have members (see Tag people on a stop and filter the Schedule by person).
Website
On the website
The same switch under Preferences in Settings, with the same caption, kept in this browser. It reveals the same things, with these differences: Integrations holds the AI Connector only (Master Tour is in the iPhone app); the Assets page's ··· menu gains Export CSV… and Import CSV…; the pack's version badge only appears once a pack has more than one version, and there's no version history to open.
Good to know
- The switch changes what's shown, not what you're allowed to use. Master Tour, the AI connector, CSV import and export, ATA Carnet export and adding documents still need Luggage Logger Pro, and show a PRO badge or Included with Pro without it (see Luggage Logger Pro: what it adds, what it costs and how to subscribe).
- Hidden isn't deleted: carnet details, documents and pack versions stay as they are, and a trip whose blank days you hid stays that way with the switch off.
- Cloud Sync, units, the clock format and notifications are never hidden.
