Edit a day's name, venue, hotel and notes

Tap the pencil on a day in the trip's Dates list to open Edit Day Details, where you set the day's name, venue, hotel and notes, move the day to another date, or clear it.

Every day of a trip can carry a name ("Show Day", "Travel Day"), a venue, a hotel and notes. They show on the Dates list, in the day's Schedule, on the venue and hotel map and in the PDFs.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. Open the trip. On the Dates list, tap the pencil at the right of the day. (You can also press and hold the day and choose Edit Day, or choose Edit Day from the ··· menu on a day's Schedule.)
  2. In Edit Day Details, fill in Day Name, Venue and Hotel under Details, and anything else under Notes. Address suggestions appear under Venue and Hotel as you type; tap one to use it.
  3. To move the day's details (its name, venue, hotel and notes) to another date, tap the date row at the top, pick the new date in Choose Date and close the picker. The day's stops stay where they are.
  4. Tap Save at the top right.

Lower down the sheet:

  • Clear All Fields (amber) empties the name, venue, hotel and notes in the form. Nothing is deleted until you tap Save.
  • Clear All Stops (3) (red) deletes every stop on the day, after you confirm with Delete 3 Stops. It's only there when you opened the sheet from the day's Schedule (press and hold the date).
  • Delete Day (red) removes the day: see Delete a day from a trip.

Website

On the website

  1. On the trip's Dates, click the pencil on the day, or choose Edit Day from the day's ··· menu. On a day's Schedule, Edit Day is in the ··· menu at the top right.
  2. The same Edit Day Details sheet appears. Change the date field at the top to move the day.
  3. Click Save.

The Calendar's Compact view also offers Edit Day on a day's trip card, with a simpler version of the sheet (no address suggestions or Clear All Stops).

Good to know

  • Moving a day to a new date takes its name, venue, hotel and notes with it, not its stops. A one-day trip moves to the new date; a longer trip grows to include it. On the website, moving onto a date that already has details asks "Replace this date's details?" first.
  • On a Master Tour trip set to automatic updates, the sheet shows "Master Tour day": the date, venue, hotel and notes are kept in step with Master Tour and can't be changed here. The day name is still yours, and your name survives the next update. See Master Tour trips: automatic and manual updates, and why some stops are locked.
  • You need to be an editor, admin or owner of the trip or its profile.
