I've paid for Pro but it isn't unlocked

Pro belongs to the Apple Account that bought it. Make sure that Apple Account is signed in to the App Store on the phone, open the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases, then check Subscription in Settings. On the website, Pro appears once the iPhone subscription has gone through; reload the page.

Pro comes from Apple (a subscription on your Apple Account) or from Luggage Logger itself (a referral or complimentary plan on your Luggage Logger account). Which one you have decides where to look.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. Check what the app thinks: profile button, Settings, under Account: Subscription. Pro with a renewal date, Pro (free trial), Pro (referral) or Pro (complimentary) mean it's on; Free means it isn't.
  2. Same Apple Account? A subscription belongs to the Apple Account that bought it, not to your Luggage Logger sign-in. On a new or second iPhone, sign in to the App Store with that Apple Account (the iPhone's Settings app, your name, Media & Purchases).
  3. Restore Purchases: on a Free account, tap Subscription in Settings (or any Included with Pro button) to open the Pro screen, then Restore Purchases at the bottom. It asks Apple for a subscription and Luggage Logger for a referral or complimentary plan. "No purchases to restore on this Apple Account." means neither has one for you.
  4. Check the subscription is live: the iPhone's Settings app, your name, Subscriptions, Luggage Logger Pro. An expired or refunded subscription isn't restored.
  5. Ask to Buy: on a child's account the purchase waits for approval and unlocks once it's approved.
  6. A referral or complimentary plan comes from Luggage Logger, not Apple. With a connection, tap Restore Purchases or force-quit and reopen the app so it's checked again; the Pro screen says "You're on Pro." when it has it.

Website

On the website

  1. Pro can't be bought on the website; it comes from the iPhone subscription, or from a referral or complimentary plan.
  2. Open the profile button, Settings, and check Subscription under Account. Reload the page if it still says Free a minute after subscribing.
  3. Check you're signed in to the same Luggage Logger account on both.

Good to know

  • With no signal the app keeps the last plan it knew, so Pro never disappears at an airport; it's checked again when you're back online.
  • A referral plan lasts two weeks from the day it was added and shows its end date. It's separate from the 14-day free trial of a subscription.
  • Apple's purchase sheet shows the trial only when the Apple Account is eligible; the app follows what Apple says.
  • Refunds and billing questions go to Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
