Stop types and their icons

A stop's Type sets the icon on the left of its row and which travel fields it shows. The icon's colour shows how far logging has got: grey, amber or green.

Type, under Travel Details when you add or edit a stop, chooses the icon shown on the left of the stop and which fields the editor offers. The icon's colour is about logging, not the type.

On the iPhone app

  1. Add or edit the stop and tap Type (it reads "Select type…" until you choose).
  2. Pick one:

    • Bus / Coach: bus. Shows Wi-Fi Network, Wi-Fi Password, Booking Reference and Vehicle Details.
    • Train: tram. Shows Train Operator and Booking Reference.

    • Other: three dots in a circle in the list, a plain dot on the Schedule. Shows Wi-Fi Network, Wi-Fi Password and Booking Reference. With no type chosen, only Booking Reference shows. Members is always there.
  3. Save. A train, coach, ferry or drive with an arrival time also gets a Disembarking stop (see Trains, coaches, ferries and drives: Boarding, Disembarking and the arrival reminder).

Good to know

  • No type? Luggage Logger guesses from the name: "flight", "bus", "coach", "train", "drive", "ferry", "hotel", "check in", "lunch", "dinner", "breakfast" and the like still get an icon. Choose Other to force a plain dot.
  • Stops from Master Tour use the type Master Tour gives them.
  • A flight's Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim, and a journey's Disembarking stop, show a suitcase where they're listed (under the journey and in the Logger; they have no row of their own on the Schedule).
  • The colour of the icon or dot: grey means nothing is assigned to the stop, amber means some assigned assets are still to log, green means everything is logged (see What the Logger is and how to read it). On a past stop the grey fades further.
  • Changing the type keeps what you'd typed in the fields it hides, so switching back brings them back.
