The Trips page: finding and opening a trip

The Trips page lists the selected profile's trips as tickets, soonest first, with finished trips folded away behind Show past. Tap a ticket to open the trip, or search for it by name.

The Trips page shows every trip in the profile you have selected, each as a ticket: the start date on a stub at the left, the trip's name, its dates, the profile with a dot in its colour, and a pill with the trip's length ("12 days", or months for a long one). Trips are in date order, the soonest upcoming one at the top; when past trips are showing they sit above it, oldest first.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. Tap Trips in the tab bar at the bottom. The title reads "<profile> Trips".
  2. To see another profile's trips, tap the profile button (its logo or initials in a circle, top left) and pick the profile.
  3. Finished trips are hidden, and so are trips archived on the website. Tap Show past at the top of the list to see them, and Hide past to fold them away again. The button only appears when there are past trips.
  4. To find a trip, type part of its name or notes into Search trips… (pull the list down a little if the search field isn't showing).
  5. Tap a ticket to open the trip on its Dates.
  6. Press and hold a ticket for its menu: Edit Trip and Rename (if you can edit the trip), and Delete (if you created the trip or are an admin on it).
  7. Pull down to refresh.

The green + at the bottom right makes a new trip.

Website

On the website

  1. Open Trips.
  2. Type in Search trips… at the top to filter the list.
  3. Show past / Hide past sits above the list when there are finished trips.
  4. Click a ticket to open it. The ··· at the right end of a ticket (or a right-click, or press and hold on a phone) gives Edit Trip and Rename (editors), Leave Trip (on a trip shared with you) and Delete (the trip's creator and its admins).
  5. On a computer, New Trip is at the top right; on a phone it's the green + at the bottom right.
  6. Trips you have archived on the website sit in a dimmed Archived section at the bottom.

Good to know

  • A trip counts as past once its last day is before today.
  • Trips in an archived profile never show here. A trip archived on the website is folded away with the past trips and comes back with Show past (on the iPhone app from version 1.0.1; before that it showed as a normal trip there).
  • A trip someone shared with you on its own appears under their profile (see What you see when only a trip was shared with you).
  • Viewers can open trips but don't get the + button or the editing items in a ticket's menu.
  • An empty profile says "No Trips Yet" with a button to create one.
