Screen: An opened asset on the Assets page (iPhone app)

Tapping an asset tile opens a card beneath its row with the photo on the left (a small eye in its corner opens it full size) and the asset's details on the right; tap the details to edit.

iPhone app only

This isn’t on the website; it’s in the iPhone app.

On the Assets page, tapping a tile opens it in place: the tile fades and a glass card slides open under that row of the grid. Tap the tile again to close it.

How to recognise it

  • A rounded card sitting between two rows of tiles, with the tile above it dimmed.
  • Left: the asset's photo as a square (or a grey square with a box or suitcase icon when there is no photo). From 1.0.1 a faint eye in a dark circle sits in the photo's bottom-right corner.
  • Right: the asset's name in bold; then brand and model; a category line with its icon; a folder line ("Audio › Microphones") when you're in a profile; weight with a scales icon; dimensions with a ruler icon; a green CASE badge for a case; a blue Find My pill when a Find My item name is set; "Owned by <name>" with a person icon when it belongs to someone else; small grey capsules for tags.
  • A grey > chevron at the card's right edge when you're allowed to edit.

What's on it

  • The details (anywhere beside the photo): tap to open the Edit Asset sheet (editors and owners). See Screen: New Asset and Edit Asset sheets (iPhone app).
  • The photo: tap to see it full size on a black background. The viewer has an X at the top left and a Share button (box with arrow) at the top right; press and hold the photo for Save to Photos. With no photo yet, tapping offers Camera or Photo Library.
  • Press and hold the photo (when you can edit the asset): Replace Photo, Save to Photos, Delete Photo (or Add Photo when there is none). A replaced photo uploads in the background with a spinner over the square.
  • Find My: opens the Find My app.
  • "x3" beside the name means the card stands for several identical assets.

Good to know

  • The eye only shows when the asset has a photo. It's a hint that a tap enlarges the picture; the card itself doesn't change.
  • Only the owner, or for an item an editor of a profile it's in, can edit it; everyone else sees the card without the chevron, and the photo has no press-and-hold menu. Someone else's case is its owner's alone to edit (from version 1.0.1).
