What is Luggage Logger?

Luggage Logger keeps a touring crew's gear in one place. Add each asset once, pack it into reusable Packs, route it through a Trip stop by stop, and tick off each case as it lands, with the whole crew on the same live list.

Luggage Logger is an app for people who move cases, racks and bags from place to place and need to know, at every stop, that everything is there. It was built by a touring audio engineer for touring crews, and it suits events and AV, theatre, film and TV, photography, expeditions and personal travel just as well.

It runs as an iPhone app (with an Apple Watch app) and as a website at luggagelogger.com/app, both on the same account.

What it does

  • Assets: add each case, rack, bag and piece of kit once, with photos, weights, dimensions, serial numbers and values. Give each a Category, file them in Folders, and find anything by name.
  • Packs: build reusable kits, such as the festival rig or the fly-date set: the Cases, what's inside each one, and a total weight that keeps itself up to date. Tick things off on a packing checklist as you load.
  • Trips: the dates of a tour with the venue and hotel for each Day, and a Schedule for every Day with each Stop in its own local time: check-out, load-in, soundcheck, show, load-out.
  • The Logger: at each Stop, tap each case as it arrives. Green means accounted for, and your crew sees the same list update live. It works with no signal and syncs when you're back online.
  • Travel days: add a flight and the day builds itself around it, from Bag Drop to Bag Reclaim. Photograph airline bag tags at the desk, mark your hand luggage to get a reminder when you land, and get a nudge before you arrive by train, coach or ferry.
  • Calendar and map: every trip on one calendar, and every venue on one map.
  • Sharing: a Profile for each band, company, family or team, each with its own colour and logo. Invite people to a Profile or a single Trip by email or QR code, and choose what each person can do.
  • Paperwork: pack lists with photos and weights, day sheets, trip overviews and bag tag sheets as PDFs.
  • Hands free: log cases from your Apple Watch, follow the load from a Live Activity on the Lock Screen, and ask Siri to log a case, add a stop or find an asset.

Good to know

  • Everything above is free. Luggage Logger Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription, adds Master Tour import, the AI connector for assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, live flight data, ATA Carnet lists, CSV import and export, document storage, more than three Profiles of your own, and 5 GB of storage instead of 250 MB. See Luggage Logger Pro: what it adds, what it costs and how to subscribe.
  • There are no ads and no tracking.
