The Venues Map: every venue you've ever played, across all profiles

Tap the profile button (top left), then the map pin button, to open the Venues Map: one pin for every day venue on every trip across all your profiles, with a filter to choose profiles and labels by visit order or date.

iPhone app only

This isn’t on the website; it’s in the iPhone app.

The Venues Map is one map of everything that has ever happened on every profile you can see: one pin per distinct venue, built from the venue set on each trip day. Hotels and stops aren't on it; for a single trip's places use the Trip Map (The Trip Map: a trip's venues, hotels and stops on one map).

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. Tap the profile button (your profile's logo or initials in a circle, top left of any main page).
  2. Tap the map pin button in the profile menu's title bar. The map opens as Venues Map, locating venues a few at a time ("Locating venues… 12 of 40").
  3. A capsule at the top counts what's showing: venues, trips and days.
  4. Tap a pin for its card: the venue's name, which profiles and trips visited it with the dates ("Spring Tour: 3–5 May 25"), and buttons for Maps, Directions and Copy. Swipe the card, or use its arrows, to step to the next venue; it shows "4 of 23".
  5. To choose which profiles are on the map, tap the filter button (lines in a circle, top right). Map Profiles lists every profile with a switch, plus Show All Profiles and Active Profiles Only.
  6. The Pin labels menu (next to the filter) switches between Order and Date.
  7. X at the top left closes the map.

Good to know

  • Date labels (the default here) put the day of the month on each pin and colour pins by month, with a key along the bottom. Order numbers the venues in the order they were first visited, red while upcoming and green once the venue's last day has passed.
  • Archived profiles start switched off; a profile that's been shared with you counts too. Your choice of profiles is remembered next time.
  • A venue that can't be found on the map is left off. If nothing can be placed it says "Nothing to Map".
  • Venues already located on a trip's map appear at once; the rest fill in as they're found, so the first open of a long history takes a little longer.
  • This isn't on the website yet: use the iPhone app.
