Sign up and confirm your email

Signing up takes a name, an email address and a password of at least 8 characters. Luggage Logger then emails you a 6-digit code to prove the address is yours.

1. On the sign-in screen, tap Don't have an account? Sign Up at the bottom.
2. Fill in Display Name (how other people see you in shared Profiles and Trips), Email, Password (min 8 characters) and Confirm Password. The eye button shows the password.
3. Tap Sign Up. The Check Your Email screen appears, showing the address the code went to.
4. Open the email, subject "Your Luggage Logger confirmation code". Either type the 6-digit code into the app (iPhone Mail offers it above the keyboard, and six digits go through on their own; Verify does the same) or tap Confirm Email Address in the email, which opens the app and signs you in.
5. You land in the app, and the welcome tour plays.

Back to Sign In returns to the sign-in screen with your email filled in.

1. Go to luggagelogger.com/app/signup, or tap Sign Up on the sign-in page.
2. Fill in Display Name, Email, Password, Confirm Password and, if a friend gave you one, Referral Code (optional).
3. Click Sign Up. The Check Your Email page appears.
4. Type the 6-digit code and click Verify (six digits go through on their own), or tap Confirm Email Address in the email: it opens a page that says Email confirmed, and Continue takes you into the web app.
5. Resend Code sends a fresh email; it waits 60 seconds after the last one. Back to Sign In keeps your email for the sign-in form.

• The code and the button both work for one hour. After that, use Resend Code for a new one, or sign in with your email and password: the website then offers Enter Confirmation Code and Resend Code, and the iPhone app (from version 1.0.1) goes back to Check Your Email with a fresh code. • The account isn't active until the address is confirmed. If you didn't sign up, ignore the email.
• With the iPhone app installed, the email's button opens the app rather than the website.
• The iPhone app has no referral code field in this version; use the website's sign-up form, or enter the code on the website within 14 days. See Refer a Friend: share your code for two weeks of Pro.
• Your display name can be changed later in Settings, under Account.
• From version 1.0.1 (and on the website) the password needs at least 8 characters; version 1.0 asked for 6.
