Log from your Apple Watch

Open a trip on your iPhone and the Luggage Logger watch app shows that day's stop with its cases and loose items. Tap a row to log it, tap it again to undo, and switch stops from the Stops list.

iPhone app only

This isn’t on the website; it’s in the iPhone app.

The watch app shows the stop you're logging on your iPhone, so you can tick cases off from your wrist. Everything on it comes from your iPhone: it has no account or data of its own.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

Setting it up:

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone and install Luggage Logger from the apps available (it may already be there if your watch installs apps automatically).
  2. Open Luggage Logger on the watch. It shows Connecting ("Keep your iPhone nearby.") until it reaches the phone, then No active trip ("Open a trip on your iPhone to start logging.").
  3. On your iPhone, open a trip (The Trips page: finding and opening a trip). The watch gets that day at once; the trip's Logger sends it the full list for the stop you're on.

Logging on the watch:

  1. The card at the top shows the trip and day, the stop's name and time, and a ring of logged out of total.
  2. Under it, the stop's cases and loose items are listed under To log and Logged, each heading with a count, cases first. The line under a name says Case or Loose item.
  3. Tap a row to log it. It moves to Logged with a green tick and the watch taps your wrist. Tap a logged row to undo it.
  4. When everything is logged the screen turns green and says All logged.

Changing stop:

  1. Tap the card at the top, or the map-pin button at the top left (Stops). On the all-logged screen, tap Stops.
  2. The list shows the day's stops with time and count ("12:00 · 2/6", or No assets), a tick on the complete ones, and the current stop highlighted. Turn the Digital Crown to scroll.
  3. Tap a stop to switch to it. With the Logger open on your iPhone, the phone switches to the same stop and sends its list.

Good to know

  • Logs made on the watch reach the iPhone at once when it's in range; out of range they wait on the watch and go as soon as the phone is reachable. From the phone they sync to your crew like any other log (Logging with your crew: live updates and who sees what).
  • A case counts once, and the items inside it ride with it. See What's inside a case on a stop.
  • A stop with nothing assigned says No assets on this stop and "Add them on your iPhone." Assets are added on the iPhone or the website, not the watch (Put assets or a pack on a stop).
  • Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim stops show no time, as in the Logger.
  • Keep the trip's Logger open on the iPhone while you log on the watch: if you change stop on the watch while the phone shows something else, the new stop's list only arrives once the Logger is back on screen.
  • The watch keeps the last trip you opened until you open another on the phone. Signing out clears it.
  • While the watch app is installed, the iPhone doesn't show the Logger's Live Activity: the watch takes its place (Follow the load from your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island).
  • There's no watch app for the website: this is part of the iPhone app.
