The venue and hotel map (Places)

Tap the map pin to the left of the date on a day's Schedule. The Places sheet shows the day's venue, hotel, any extra places and the stops with an address, with directions a tap away.

1. On the day's Schedule, tap the map pin, left of the date in the day navigator. It's tinted blue when the day has places.
2. The sheet opens at half height with the map on top: the venue in blue, the hotel in orange, extra places in their own colours, and located stops in grey with a clock. Drag the sheet up, or tap the map, for the full map; swipe the sheet down to close it (at full height there's an X at the top left). The location button centres the map on you, and the curved arrow fits every pin back in.
3. Under the map is the list: "Venue: …", "Hotel: …", each extra place, then under SCHEDULE the day's stops that could be placed. Editors also see Set Venue, Set Hotel and Add Place (a type, a name and an address, such as a dayroom or an airport).
4. Tap a place in the list, or its pin, to open it: name, address, phone number, website and kind, with Copy Address, Directions, View on Map, Call (when it has a number), Share Place and, on a stop, Edit Stop. Editors can change or remove the venue, hotel or an extra place with Edit and Remove. All Places at the top left goes back to the list.
5. Directions opens driving directions in Google Maps if it's installed, otherwise Apple Maps. Share Place sends a picture of the place with a map link.

From version 1.0.1, an opened stop with a location has a Map button between Edit Stop and Log Assets. It opens this sheet already on that stop.

The map pin opens the Places sheet with the same list but no map. Open a place for Copy Address, Directions, View on Map (Apple Maps on an iPhone, iPad or Mac, Google Maps elsewhere, in a new tab), Share Place and Edit Stop. Editors set, change and remove the venue, hotel and extra places here too. An opened stop with an address has the same Map button.

• The venue and hotel here are the day's venue and hotel from Edit Day Details (see Edit a day's name, venue, hotel and notes); changing them in either place changes both.
• Viewers and loggers see the sheet read-only: no Set Venue, Set Hotel, Add Place, Edit or Remove (on the iPhone app from version 1.0.1; before that the buttons showed but changed nothing). Directions, copying and sharing work for everyone.
• A stop is only placed when its location points at a specific spot. A general location, such as just a city, or a flight's route from one airport to another, gets no pin.
• From version 1.0.1, a day you've opened before shows its map straight away, even offline; a new day shows the map dimmed while its places are found.
