Everything in Luggage Logger follows one chain: Profile, Assets, Packs, Trips, Stops, Logger. Set it up in that order and the rest falls into place.
- Start with a Profile. A Profile is a band, a company, a family or a team. Your first one is made for you when you sign up, named after you. Make one for each band or company you work with: tap the profile button at the top left, then Add Profile. Switch between them with the same button.
- Add your Assets. On the Assets tab, add each case, rack, bag and piece of kit once, with a photo. Choose Item or Case, give it a Category, and file it in a Folder if you like. An asset can belong to more than one Profile, and All Assets shows everything you have.
- Build Packs. On the Packs tab, make a reusable kit: the Cases you take, what goes in each, and any loose Items. The total weight keeps itself up to date. A Pack belongs to a Profile.
- Make a Trip. On the Trips tab, create a Trip with its dates. Its Dates tab lists each Day with the venue and hotel; its Schedule tab holds each Day's Stops in order, each in its own local time. Add a flight and its Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim Stops appear by themselves.
- Put gear on a Stop. Open a Stop and assign a whole Pack to it, or pick single assets. That is what's expected to be there.
- Log it. The Trip's Logger tab lists what's assigned to the Stop. Tap each case as it arrives and it turns green. When everything is green, the Stop is accounted for. Everyone the Trip or Profile is shared with sees the same list update live, and it works with no signal.
Where things are
- Home (iPhone and website): your Profiles as tiles, and an overview of the selected Profile.
- Assets, Packs and Trips show the selected Profile's things; Calendar shows every Day of every Trip across all your Profiles.
- Settings, the Welcome Tour, the Changelog, Refer a Friend and, on the website, Help are in the profile menu, behind the profile button.
Good to know
- Share a whole Profile with your crew, or just one Trip with the people on it: see Share a profile with your crew and Share a single trip with someone.
- You don't have to use Packs: you can assign single assets to a Stop. Packs save you doing it again on the next run.
