Photos are stored privately on your account and downloaded to each device as needed, so a missing one is usually a question of connection or access.
iPhone app
On the iPhone app
- Give it a moment, then pull down to refresh. Thumbnails download when a screen opens; on a slow connection they arrive one by one.
- Was it added with no signal? The photo is kept on the phone and uploads when you're back online; until then other people can't see it. Check Settings, Cloud Sync for changes still syncing.
- Check your storage allowance in Settings, under Account: Storage. Over the allowance (250 MB on Free, 5 GB on Pro), everything stays viewable but new uploads pause until you're under it or on Pro. Delete some photos or documents, or subscribe.
- Someone else's photo? A photo opens only for people who can see the asset or trip it belongs to. On a trip shared without its assets, the asset photos don't show. See I was invited but can't see the shared Profile or Trip.
- Still grey? Force-quit and reopen the app. As a last resort, Settings, Cloud Sync, Clear Local Cache: the phone's copy, photos included, is downloaded again.
Website
On the website
- Reload the page and check your connection.
- Make sure you're signed in with the account the asset or trip is shared with.
- Check Storage in Settings, under Account, as above.
Good to know
- Full-size photos have a Share button at the top right, and an asset's photo on the Assets page shows a small eye: tap it to see the photo full size.
- Photos are re-encoded before upload, which drops hidden details such as where they were taken; what you see is what was uploaded.
- A Profile logo that's blank for one member only is an access question: ask the owner to check that the member is on the Profile (not just a trip), and if it persists, email support@luggagelogger.com.
