Copy a stop's assets and paste them on another stop

In the Logger, open the ··· menu at the top right and choose Copy All Assets, then go to the other stop and choose Paste Assets from the same menu. The paste is a fresh, unlogged list that adds to whatever is already there.

When the next stop needs the same gear, copy the list rather than building it again. Copying takes every asset on the stop; pasting adds them to another stop, unlogged, and skips anything already there.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. Open the Logger at the stop whose list you want.
  2. Tap the ··· button at the top right and choose Copy All Assets. The app confirms what it copied, for example "4 cases, 2 loose items copied. Tap another stop to paste."
  3. Go to the other stop with the ‹ and › buttons, or open another day or another trip.
  4. Open ··· again and choose Paste Assets. It's only offered while you have assets copied. The app confirms what it pasted, with "(the rest were already here)" when some were skipped, or "Those assets are already on this stop".

Website

On the website

  1. In the Logger, open the trip's ⋯ menu and choose Copy All Assets.
  2. On the other stop, open ⋯ again and choose Paste Assets.

Copy from the previous stop

On a stop with nothing on it yet, the Logger shows Copy From Previous Stop under Add Pack and Add Assets, with the name of the stop it copies from and what's on it ("4 cases, 2 loose items"). One tap adds that stop's assets, with their cases and packs, unlogged. The previous stop is the one the ‹ button goes back to. If that stop has nothing on it, the button doesn't show. After a flight, the previous stop is its Bag Reclaim, which carries the flight's bag list. It's on the iPhone app and the website.

Good to know

  • What's copied: every asset on the stop, which case each item is packed in, and which pack it came with. What isn't: whether anything was logged. The pasted list starts unlogged.
  • Pasting adds to the target stop and never removes anything from it.
  • You hold one thing at a time: copying a day or a stop replaces the copied assets, and the other way round.
  • The copy lasts until you quit the app on the iPhone, or reload the page on the website, and works across trips.
  • A flight and its Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim share one list, so copying from any of the three copies the same assets.
  • You need the Logger role or above. Edit Stop is in the same menu, for editors.
