A pack is a reusable kit: the cases you take and what goes in each one, with a total weight that keeps itself up to date. The Packs page lists the packs in the profile you're in, newest first. Tap a pack to open it.
iPhone app
On the iPhone app
- Tap Packs (the suitcase) in the tab bar. The title reads Packs, or the profile's name followed by Packs (for example Spring Tour Packs) when you're in a profile.
- To change profile, tap the profile button (its logo or initials in a circle) at the top left.
- To find a pack, type in Search packs…. It matches the pack's name, its profile and its notes.
- Each card shows the pack's photo (or its total weight on the profile's colour), its name, how many cases and items it holds, its weight, its profile and the date it was made. A v2 or v3 badge means the pack has earlier versions (see Pack versions (v2, v3) and version history).
- Tap a card to open the pack. Press and hold a card for Archive, Rename, Duplicate and Delete.
- The green + at the bottom right makes a new pack (see Create a pack).
- Pull the list down to refresh it.
Website
On the website
- Open Packs in the navigation (the bar at the bottom on a phone, the side on a computer). The page is luggagelogger.com/app/packs, and its title names the profile too.
- The search field under the title (Search packs…) finds a pack by name, profile or notes.
- Cards match the iPhone app: the weight block on the left, the name, the counts, the profile and the date. Tap a card to open the pack on its own page.
- The ··· button on a card (always there on a phone; it appears when you hover with a mouse) opens the same menu as a right-click or a press and hold: Archive, Rename, Duplicate, Delete.
- The green + at the bottom right makes a new pack.
Good to know
- Show Archived: once you've archived a pack, a ··· button appears at the top right of the page (beside the search field on the website) with Show Archived. Archived packs show dimmed (the website also marks them Archived). Archiving hides a pack for you only; other people in the profile still see it.
- Editors, admins and the profile's owner get the green +, Rename and Duplicate. Delete is only for the person who made the pack. Everyone who can see a pack can open it and export it.
- A pack always belongs to a profile, so you need a profile before you can make one.
- To use a pack on a tour, add it to a stop from the Logger: see Put assets or a pack on a stop.
- The website doesn't show pack photos; its cards show the weight in that spot (see Add notes or a photo to a pack).
