Copy a stop and paste it onto another day

Press and hold a stop and choose Copy Stop. On the day you want it, press and hold empty space (or a stop, or use the ··· menu) and choose Paste Stop Here. The copy lands at the same time of day.

Press and hold a stop and choose Copy Stop. Then go to the day you want it on and choose Paste Stop Here: a new copy appears there at the same time of day.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. On the day's Schedule, press and hold the stop and tap Copy Stop.
  2. Use < and > to reach the day you want it on.
  3. Paste in whichever way suits:
    • press and hold the empty space below the day's stops (or anywhere on an empty day) and tap Paste Stop Here;
    • press and hold any stop on that day and tap Paste Stop Here near the bottom of its menu;
    • tap the ··· button at the top right and choose Paste Stop Here;
    • on the trip's list of dates, press and hold a day and choose Paste Stop Here.
  4. The copy appears on that day at the original's time of day, with the same name, location, type, time zones, length, notes, members and travel details (flight number, terminal, train operator, Wi-Fi network and password, booking reference, vehicle details).

Website

On the website

The same menus: right-click a stop (press and hold on a phone), or click the ··· button in the opened stop, and choose Copy Stop. Paste with Paste Stop Here from the empty space under the day's stops, a stop's menu, the trip's ··· menu, or a day in the list of dates. An empty day also shows a Paste Stop Here button. A message confirms "copied" and "pasted".

Good to know

  • Paste Stop Here only appears while something is copied. The clipboard holds one thing at a time (a stop, a day or a set of assets) and empties when you quit the app, or reload the website.
  • The copy is a separate stop: editing one doesn't change the other, and it starts with nothing logged.
  • You can copy a stop that Master Tour keeps in sync. The copy is an ordinary stop of your own, editable even on a trip set to automatic updates, and updates from Master Tour leave it alone.
  • A pasted flight gets its own Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim, and a train, coach, ferry or drive its Disembarking stop, just as a newly added one does (see Add a flight to a trip: Bag Drop, the flight and Bag Reclaim and Trains, coaches, ferries and drives: Boarding, Disembarking and the arrival reminder).
  • Pasting needs the editor role or above. In version 1.0 these were called Copy Event and Paste Event Here.
  • From version 1.0.1 the iPhone app's copy carries the terminal, train operator, Wi-Fi details and arrival time zone, adds the companion stops itself, and makes a pasted Master Tour stop editable. Before that, those details had to be added by hand and the companions came only after opening the pasted stop and tapping Save.
  • To copy a whole day, or the assets on a stop, see Copy a day and paste it onto another (Copy Day, Paste Day Here) and Copy a stop's assets and paste them on another stop.
