A flight is a stop like any other, with the Type set to Flight. Because bags are handled three times on a travel day, Luggage Logger builds the day around it: a Bag Drop stop before departure, the flight itself (where only your hand luggage is logged, as everything else is in the hold) and a Bag Reclaim stop after landing. The three share one list of bags.

- Open the day's Schedule and tap the green + at the bottom right.
- Type a Name and set Start Time (departure) and End Time (arrival).
- Under Travel Details, set Type to Flight and type the Flight Number. For a journey with connections, list each flight separated by a comma or a slash, and each leg gets its own card. The automatic fill-in below then uses the first flight for the departure time and its time zone only; the arrival time, name and arrival time zone you typed are kept, so set the arrival yourself for a connecting journey.
- Terminal and Booking Reference are optional. Tap Create.
- Luggage Logger looks the flight up. When it finds it, the stop's times and both time zones are filled in and its name becomes the route (departure city to arrival city), then Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim are added. If the number can't be found, your typed name and times are kept and the companions are still added.
Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim don't appear as rows on the Schedule. Tap the flight to expand it: under Log are Bag Drop, Disembarking and Bag Reclaim, each with its logged count, and each opens the Logger for that phase. In the Logger, the stop navigator at the top steps between them too.

The same stop sheet with Type set to Flight and a Flight number field. After saving, a message reports "Flight details filled in" and "Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim added". The flight's row expands to the same Bag Drop, Disembarking and Bag Reclaim phases.
Good to know
- Bag Drop is set two hours before departure and Bag Reclaim thirty minutes after arrival, each in its own end's local time and marked approximate. Both sit on the flight's day in the Schedule and the Logger. Editing the flight's times moves them.
- Deleting the flight deletes its Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim as well. A flight you copy and paste onto another day gets fresh ones of its own (see Copy a stop and paste it onto another day).
- From version 1.0.1 a connecting journey ("AB123, CD456") is looked up by its first flight. Before that, the whole string was looked up and never matched, so nothing filled in.
- Assign the bags once, on any of the three; the list is shared. Bags are logged whole (no case contents) on all three. On the flight itself a bag in the hold can't be logged: it shows Not checked, then Checked in once logged at Bag Drop and Collected once logged at Bag Reclaim, unless you mark it as hand luggage (see Mark your hand luggage and get a reminder when you land).
