The Assets tab (the box icon in the tab bar) shows the assets of whichever profile you have selected, or everything you can see when you flip the switch to All Assets.
How to recognise it
- The title is the profile's name (or All Assets). Just under it sits a two-part switch: the profile's name on the left, All Assets on the right.
- Top left: the profile button (logo or initials in a coloured ring). Top right: a folder icon with a + (new folder, owners, admins and editors only, profile view only) and a circle with up/down arrows (sort).
- A search bar reading Search assets….
- In the profile view: wide coloured folder tiles, two across, shaped like a folder with a tab on the top-left edge, each showing the folder's name and "12 assets · 2 folders". Below them, a four-column grid of square photo tiles with the asset's name underneath. The top level only shows assets that aren't filed in any folder. There is no Categories capsule here; an All Members capsule sits on the right above the grid when assets from several people are in view.
- In All Assets: no folders. Instead a grey capsule All Categories on the left and, when assets belong to several people, All Members on the right. Both turn blue when a choice is made.
- A green round + at the bottom right.
- A tile with a green CASE badge in its corner is a case; a lock in the bottom-right corner means private; "x3" means several of the same.
What's on it
- Profile | All Assets switch: the profile's own view (with folders) or everything across your profiles.
- Folder tile: tap to open (see Screen: Inside a folder on the Assets page (iPhone app)). Press and hold for Rename, New Subfolder, Assign to Profile, then Delete Folder, Remove Assets from <Profile> and Delete Folder and Assets. Drag an asset tile onto a folder to file it; drop one asset on another to make a new folder holding both.
- Asset tile: tap to open its card (see Screen: An opened asset on the Assets page (iPhone app)). Press and hold for Select Multiple, Edit Asset and Change Category (on assets you can edit: your own, and items in a profile you edit), Duplicate, Move to Folder, Use as Folder Photo (inside a folder), then Remove from <Profile> and Delete (owner only, asks first: "Delete <name>?" with a red Delete Asset button).
- Categories menu: a list of the categories in view with counts; one at a time, or turn on Select Multiple at the top to combine. Members works the same, with Just Mine and All Members.
- Sort menu: Name (A-Z), Date Added (Newest), Date Added (Oldest), Weight (Heaviest), Value (Most), Custom Order.
- Green +: a new asset. In a profile it's added to that profile (and to the open folder).
- Select mode: the title becomes Select Assets, an X sits top left and Select All / Deselect All top right; tiles get circles that fill with a blue tick. A bar at the bottom shows "N selected" with Delete (red), Remove (amber, for others' assets), Profiles, Folder and Category.
- Pull down to refresh.
Good to know
- Empty states: No Assets ("Assets added to this profile show up here."), No Assets in <Profile> with + Assign Asset and + New Asset, or No Assets Yet.
- From 1.0.1, a profile you only know through a shared trip shows what those trips share, or says the assets aren't shared with you and who to ask.
- Categories and Members choices are remembered on this phone.
