What's only on the iPhone app, and what's only on the website

The two share one account and almost everything in it. The iPhone app alone has the Apple Watch app, Siri, the Live Activity, notifications, Master Tour, offline logging, the Venues map and buying Pro; the website alone can be installed on a computer or Android phone and has a few extras of its own.

The iPhone app and the website use the same account, so your profiles, assets, packs, trips, logs, documents and settings are the same on both. The lists below are what each one has that the other doesn't.

Only on the iPhone app

  • Apple Watch: logging cases from your wrist.
  • The Live Activity: the stop's progress on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island while you log.
  • Siri and Shortcuts: asking Siri to log a case, add a stop or find an asset.
  • Notifications on the phone: reminders you set on stops (you can set them on the website, but they go off on your iPhone), the "don't forget your luggage" nudge before a train, coach or ferry arrives, the hand luggage reminder when you land, and crew logging activity (Logging Activity in the iPhone's Settings). The website's own notifications cover service messages and news only.
  • Master Tour: connecting, importing and keeping a trip in sync (Pro). On the website a Master Tour stop opens read-only (View Stop), and a Master Tour day's venue, hotel and notes can only be changed by switching the trip to Manual in the iPhone app.
  • Working offline: the iPhone app logs and edits with no signal and syncs later. The website keeps pages you've opened for viewing, but saving needs a connection.
  • Buying Pro: subscriptions are bought and managed through Apple in the iPhone app (Manage Subscription, Restore Purchases). The website shows your plan and says "Pro is bought in the iPhone app for now"; a subscription bought there applies on the website.
  • The Venues map: every venue across your profiles on one map, from the profile menu.
  • Cloud Sync in Settings: Sync Now, Download All and Clear Local Cache. The website reads the server directly, so it has nothing to sync.
  • Join by QR in the profile menu opens the camera straight away. On the website it's Join by Link, with a Scan QR Code button where the browser has a camera.
  • Reading the tag number and surname off a bag tag's photo, so the fields fill in for you. The website takes the photo, but you type the surname and tag number.

Only on the website

  • Installing it on a computer or an Android phone from Settings, with New Asset, Trips and Logger shortcuts on its icon.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘K / Ctrl+K for search, ⌘A / Ctrl+A to select every asset shown while selecting, Esc to leave Select or close a sheet, ← and → to change month on the Compact calendar.
  • The Assets page's inspector panel on a wide window (an asset's details beside the grid) and the sidebar's list of Categories with counts.
  • Duplicate and Archive for a trip, in the trip's ··· menu.
  • Sign Out in the profile menu as well as in Settings.
  • In Settings: Notifications on this device (service messages in the browser), News and offers, Share usage statistics, a Build row under About, and the Changelog's Web app section listing the website's own releases.
  • PDFs (trip, day sheet, pack, cases, bag tags, ATA Carnet) open in the browser's print dialog, where you save them as PDF.

The same on both

Profiles and sharing (invitations by email, link and QR code), assets with photos and folders, packs with their PDFs, trips, days, the Schedule, flights with Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim, bag tag photos, hand luggage marks (kept per device on both), the Logger with live updates, the Calendar, Home, the welcome tour, the Changelog, Refer a Friend, the AI connector, CSV import and export, documents, deleting your account, and your units and clock settings.

Good to know

  • Hand luggage marks and profile colours set on one device don't appear on another: both the iPhone app and the website keep them locally.
