These are the screens you see before you're signed in. Luggage Logger signs in with an email address and password.
How to recognise it
Sign In
- A blue rolling-suitcase icon with Luggage Logger under it, on a grey background.
- A white card with Email and Password (an eye icon at the right end of Password shows or hides it).
- Forgot Password? on the right under the card, a wide blue Sign In button, and at the bottom Don't have an account? Sign Up.
- An error, when there is one, in small red text above Forgot Password?.
Create Account (a sheet over Sign In)
- The title Create Account, an X at the top left.
- A card with Display Name, Email, Password (min 8 characters) with the eye icon, Confirm Password, and sometimes Referral Code (optional) with the note "If a friend invited you, their code goes here."
- "Passwords don't match" in red when they differ; a wide blue Sign Up button.
Check Your Email
- A blue envelope icon, the title Check Your Email, "We've sent a 6-digit code to:" and your address in blue.
- "Enter the code here, or tap Confirm in the email. Either way you're signed in straight away."
- A large box for the code with Resend Code under it (it counts down for a minute after each email), then a blue Verify button and a grey Back to Sign In button.
What's on it
- Sign In: greyed out until both fields are filled (a password of at least 6 characters, so older short passwords still get in). Shows a spinner while signing in.
- Forgot Password?: needs an email in the field; sends a reset link and shows Check Your Email: "If an account exists for <email>, a password reset link has been sent."
- Sign Up: makes the account and moves to Check Your Email. It's greyed out until the password has at least 8 characters and both passwords match (from version 1.0.1; 6 in version 1.0).
- Code box: the keyboard is a number pad; the code from Mail fills in by itself when offered, and six digits submit on their own. Verify submits by hand.
- Resend Code (from version 1.0.1): sends a fresh code to the same address; "A new code is on its way." appears under it.
- Back to Sign In: returns to the sign-in screen with your email filled in. Signing in before you've confirmed brings you back here with a fresh code (from version 1.0.1).
Good to know
- Tapping Confirm in the email also opens the app signed in; you don't need to type the code as well.
- The referral code field only appears when referral codes are being accepted at sign-up.
