Log a case, undo a log, or log everything at once

Tap Log on a case or item and it turns green with a tick. Press and hold the card for Undo Logging. Log All logs a whole pack or all the loose items, and editors can Unlog All on This Stop from the ··· menu.

Tap Log on a card to log it at this stop. The button turns solid green with a tick and reads Logged, and the card shows "Logged on 4 Oct". Tapping again doesn't undo it: undo is in the card's menu, so a stray tap can't wipe a log.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. Tap the dashed green Log on the case or item.
  2. To undo, press and hold the card and choose Undo Logging (red). The app confirms "Logging undone".
  3. To log a whole pack or all the loose items, tap Log All on the pack folder or on Loose Items. It becomes Logged once everything inside is logged. Press and hold the folder and choose Undo Log to undo every log inside it.
  4. Editors can clear a stop: tap the ··· button at the top right, choose Unlog All on This Stop, then Unlog All. The assets stay on the stop; every card goes back to Log.
  5. To take an asset off the stop instead, press and hold its card and choose Remove from Stop.
  6. Pull the list down to refresh it.

Website

On the website

  1. Tap anywhere on the card, or its Log pill. (A case showing its contents opens on a tap; use its Log pill to log it.)
  2. To undo, tap the card's ··· button, or press and hold it, and choose Undo Logging.
  3. Log All next to the progress bar at the top logs everything left on the stop. Each pack folder and Loose Items has its own Log All too.
  4. Editors: the trip's ··· menu, Unlog All on This Stop, then Unlog All.

Good to know

  • You need the Logger role or above. Viewers see the green Logged badges but no buttons.
  • Every log keeps who logged it and when. The card shows the date; the person and the time are in the Activity on Home (see See who logged what at each stop (Activity)), and At a Glance on Home shows who's logging at each stop.
  • Undo removes the log altogether; it doesn't stay in the Activity.
  • Logging a case covers the items packed inside it. The items inside are packed and ticked in the pack's Packing Checklist, not logged here (see What's inside a case on a stop).
  • On a flight, bags in the hold can't be logged on the flight itself, and there's no Log All there; only hand luggage is logged as you leave the plane.
  • The iPhone app logs without a signal and sends the logs later. The website needs a connection: with none, a log fails straight away with a message, and nothing is lost on the stop.
  • You can also log from your Apple Watch, by asking Siri, or by tapping the Live Activity to get back to the stop.
