The Home page: Quick Actions, Overview and what's happening now

Home is the selected profile's dashboard. It shows the profile's logo and name, Quick Actions, an Overview card with counts and the next stop, At a Glance rings for stops being logged, Team Notes and (with advanced features on) Documents. The search button at the top right finds anything in the app.

Partly Pro

Home is the dashboard for the profile you have selected: its logo and name at the top, then Quick Actions, the Overview card, At a Glance (once anything has been logged in the profile), Team Notes and, with advanced features on, Documents. The Assets, Packs and Trips pages follow the same profile, and the search button at the top right searches the whole app.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. Tap Home (the house icon, first in the tab bar). The title reads Home.
  2. To see another profile's Home, tap the profile button (its logo or initials in a circle, top left) and choose the profile.
  3. To find anything in the app, tap the search button at the top right (a magnifying glass with a small sparkle). See Search the whole app (Smart Search, ⌘K and Spotlight).
  4. Pull down to refresh.

Website

On the website

  1. Choose Home in the sidebar on a computer, or in the bar at the bottom on a phone.
  2. To change profile, use the profile button at the top left.
  3. The same search is behind the search button at the top right of the bar on a phone, or Search (⌘K) at the top of the sidebar on a computer. See Search the whole app (Smart Search, ⌘K and Spotlight).

What's on Home

  • Quick Actions: New Asset, New Pack, New Trip and, for the profile's owner and admins, Sharing. Each opens its form with this profile already chosen. On the iPhone a new pack or trip takes you to the Packs or Trips page once it's made; on the website you stay on Home and a message confirms it (a new pack's message has Open).
  • Overview: the number of Assets, Packs and Trips in this profile, plus Members for owners and admins. Tap a count to open that page; Members opens Sharing. Under the counts, NEXT UP names the stop the crew is heading for, with a countdown and the trip's route as dots; tap it to open the Logger there. See Next up on Home: the stop the crew is heading for.
  • At a Glance: a row for each stop someone has logged at in the last two hours, with a progress ring and who is logging. When it's quiet it reads "Nothing logged in the last two hours.", and All activity in its header opens the logging history either way. See At a Glance: who is logging at each stop right now.
  • Team Notes: notes everyone in the profile can read. Editors and above can type; the notes save by themselves a moment after you stop, or when you tap Done, and the header shows Editing…, Saving… then Saved. See Team Notes on the Home page.
  • Documents: the profile's paperwork, shown only when Show Advanced Features is on in Settings.

Good to know

  • Quick Actions only show if you can edit the profile (editor, admin or owner). Viewers and loggers still see the Overview, At a Glance and Team Notes.
  • To set the logo, tap it (editors and above): Camera or Photo Library on the iPhone, Choose Photo (and Take Photo on a phone or tablet) on the website, and Remove Logo once there is one.
  • Home looks the same for everyone: there is no setting to hide or reorder its sections.
  • Adding documents and managing their tags needs Luggage Logger Pro, on the iPhone app and the website; reading, sharing, editing and deleting what's already there doesn't. See Documents: notes, links, files and photos for a profile.
  • On the website, a profile that only holds a trip shared with you has no dashboard: Home says Only a trip is shared with you here, with an Open Trips button.
