Smart Import was retired in version 1.0.1 of the iPhone app, so it's no longer in a trip's menu. It read a pasted or photographed itinerary on the phone and suggested the dates and stops for you to check.
What to use instead
- The AI connector (part of Pro): add Luggage Logger to Claude or ChatGPT, then paste the email, day sheet or PDF into the assistant and ask it to add the stops to your trip. It reads flights, trains, hotels and venues, keeps each time in its own local time, and builds the Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim stops for a flight. See The AI connector: use Luggage Logger from Claude or ChatGPT.
- Add stops by hand: open the trip, choose the Day on the Schedule, and add each Stop. See Add a stop to a day. Copy Stop and Paste Stop save retyping similar days: see Copy a stop and paste it onto another day.
- Master Tour users: Master Tour import (Pro) brings a whole tour in and keeps it in step. See Import a tour from Master Tour (Pro).
- A spreadsheet of trips: CSV import (Pro) is in Settings, Data Management. See CSV import and export (Pro).
Good to know
- Nothing you imported with Smart Import before 1.0.1 has changed; the stops it made are ordinary stops.
- The website never had Smart Import; its options are the same as above.
- The Changelog (profile button, then Changelog) records the change under version 1.0.1.
