Everything you can say to Siri is also an action in the Shortcuts app, where you can run it with a tap, put it in a shortcut of your own, or assign it to the Action button on iPhones that have one. A few actions exist only there, because they have no spoken phrase.
iPhone app
On the iPhone app
- Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and find Luggage Logger among the apps.
- Tap an action to run it, or add it to a shortcut. Siri says the result, as it does for the spoken phrases.
Actions with no spoken phrase:
- Undo the last log: removes the most recent log from the last 24 hours and says "Undone: Drum Case 1 at Load-in", or that there's nothing to undo.
- Open an asset: opens the app on that asset's card.
- Add a stop: a name and time, plus an end time, a type (show, food, load-in, load-out, hotel, bus, drive, ferry or other) and a location if you give them. Siri says "Added Lobby call at 16:00 to Spring Tour".
- Change a stop's time: moves a stop on the day shown to a new time, keeping its length.
- Add a flight: give the flight number (and a date if it isn't the day shown). The flight's times and airports are looked up and Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim are built around it, as when you add a flight in the app (Add a flight to a trip: Bag Drop, the flight and Bag Reclaim). If the lookup finds nothing, the flight is added at noon for you to set in the app.
- Add a train: from, to, departs and (optionally) arrives. Siri says "Added the train from … to … at 09:15".
- Set a booking reference: saves a reference on a flight, train or hotel stop on the day shown.
Good to know
- The schedule actions act on the day your Schedule is showing (for twelve hours after you last looked at it), otherwise the trip with something on today, otherwise the trip that spans today. With no trip to go on, Siri says "Open a trip in Luggage Logger first, then I'll know which schedule to add to."
- A time you give, such as "4pm", is placed on the day shown in that day's time zone; "tomorrow" lands on the day after it.
- Changes made this way sync to your crew like changes made in the app.
- The phone needs to be unlocked to run any of these.
- The Shortcuts app isn't part of the website.
