The AI connector gives an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT a window into your Luggage Logger account, under your own sign-in. Paste an itinerary, a day sheet or an email and ask it to add the stops to a trip; ask where an asset is or what's in a pack.
Getting the address
On the iPhone app: tap the profile button at the top left, then Settings. Under Preferences turn on Show Advanced Features. Under Integrations, AI Connector shows the address: tap Copy.
On the website: open the profile button, then Settings; with Show Advanced Features on, AI Connector is under Integrations, with Copy.
On a free account the row says Included with Pro instead.
Adding it to your assistant
- Claude (desktop or the iPhone app): Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste the address and sign in. ChatGPT (desktop, on a paid plan): add it as a custom MCP plugin with the same address.
- Your browser opens Luggage Logger's Connect an application page. It shows which account is being connected and where you'll be sent back to, with a green tick for a known assistant and a warning for anything else. Tap Allow (or Deny).
- Back in the assistant, ask "What can you do with Luggage Logger?" for the list.
What it can read and change
- Read: your Profiles; your trips with their dates, each trip's day-by-day sheet (day names, venues, hotels, notes) and its stop-by-stop schedule in local time; your packs and what's in each case; your assets by name, Category or folder.
- Change: create a trip; add stops to a trip (a flight gets its Bag Drop and Bag Reclaim; a train, coach, ferry or drive gets Disembarking); edit, tag or delete a stop.
- Not through the connector: logging cases, sharing and members, photos, and deleting trips, assets or packs. Those stay in the app.
Good to know
- It sees exactly what your account sees, including Profiles and trips shared with you, and can change only what your role allows. Other people's Private items stay hidden.
- Your assistant asks before anything is added, changed or deleted, and names, notes and places from shared trips are treated as data, never as instructions. As a safety net, more than 60 changes (or 25 edits and deletions) in an hour pauses changes until later.
- The connector's list of abilities updates only when you disconnect it and connect it again, so after an update, remove Luggage Logger in the assistant's settings and add it back.
- To disconnect for good, remove Luggage Logger in the assistant's settings.
- What the assistant receives is also covered by that provider's privacy policy.
