Move items between cases in a pack

Press and hold an item and choose Move to Case or Move to Loose Items, or drag it onto another case. Loose Items has Move All to Case, and a selection moves with the Move button.

An item sits in one case of a pack, or loose. Move it from its own menu, by dragging, or several at once with Select Items.

  1. One item, by menu: press and hold the item. Choose Move to Case and tap a case in the Move to Case list (the case it's in now isn't offered), or Move to Loose Items to take it out of its case. The move happens straight away.
  2. One item, by dragging: press and hold the item until it lifts, then drag it. A blue outline shows the card it will land on: another case or Loose Items. Dropping it on the empty space under the last card makes it loose. Let go to drop it.
  3. Every loose item at once: press and hold Loose Items and choose Move All to Case, then tap a case in the Move All Loose Items list. Or drag the Loose Items header itself onto a case.
  4. Some items at once: use Select Items (see Select several items in a pack), tick them, tap Move at the bottom, and pick a case or Loose Items in the Move 3 Items list.
  5. While adding: in the Add Assets sheet, an item already in another case can be brought over with Move to <case> (see Add cases and items to a pack).

Website

The same menus are behind the ··· button on a row, a right-click, or a press and hold, with the same lists. Dragging works too: with a mouse or pen, drag the row; with a finger, press and hold the row (its menu opens), then move your finger and the row comes with you. The card it will land on gets a blue outline, and if the pack has no Loose Items card yet, a dashed Loose Items box appears under the cases while you drag an item out of its case. In Custom Order you can also drag an item to a new place within its own list, and drag a case's header to change the order of the cases (see Sort a pack's items, or put them in your own order).

Good to know

  • Moving is for editors, admins and owners. Dragging is paused while you're selecting items.
  • A move is immediate and has no Undo: move it back the same way.
  • Moves only change where the item sits in this pack. The asset itself and other packs aren't affected.
  • To change the order of items rather than which case they're in, see Sort a pack's items, or put them in your own order.
