Inside a pack, every case is a card. Tap the card to open it and see what's in it; tap it again to close it. Items that aren't in any case sit in a card of their own called Loose Items.

On the iPhone app
- Open the pack from the Packs page. At the top is the pack's header card: the profile, how many cases and items it holds, and the weight. Tap the header for more: volume, value, when it was last edited, and the notes.
- Each case card shows the case's photo, its name and "3 items · 12.5 kg". Tap it to open: the items roll out underneath, with a summary line of their weight and value, then one row per item (photo, name, serial number, weight, value, and x2 when there's more than one).
- Tap the card again to close it. Several cases can be open at once.
- The green + on a case's row opens Add Items to <case>, which puts what you pick straight into that case (see Add cases and items to a pack).
- Loose Items works the same way: tap to open or close, and its green + opens the same Add Assets sheet; items you pick there go in as loose items. Move them into a case later (see Move items between cases in a pack).
- To find something, type in Search items... under the header. It matches names, brands and serial numbers, and every case with a match opens by itself while you search.
- Press and hold a case for its menu: Select Items, Edit Asset, Replace Case, Copy to Pack and Remove Case from Pack. Press and hold an item for Select Items, Edit Asset, Move to Case, Move to Loose Items and Remove from Pack. Press and hold Loose Items for Select Items, Move All to Case and Remove All from Pack.
- Pull down to refresh the pack with changes made on other devices.

On the website
The pack's page works the same way: tap a case's header to open or close it, the green + on a case adds items into it, and Loose Items sits below the cases. The menus are behind the ··· button on each row (always there on a phone, on hover with a mouse), a right-click, or a press and hold. An open case with nothing in it says "No items in this case yet."
Good to know
- A padlock on a case means it holds items someone else has marked private. They count in the case's weight and show as "2 private items" and "Hidden by owner", but aren't listed. The profile's owner and admins see everything (see What members can see and change: assets, packs, trips and logging).
- Values show to editors and above only.
- Names, photos and weights come from the asset itself, so editing an asset updates it in every pack (see Edit an asset from inside a pack).
- Viewers and loggers can open a pack and look, but don't get the + buttons or the menus.
- From version 1.0.1, opening a case gives the same light tap as the header, and the + on a case is green like every button that adds.
