What the colours, chips and dots on the Calendar mean

In the Detailed view each trip day is a chip coloured by its kind of day: shows green, travel amber, rehearsals purple, prep blue, days off sky blue, and anything else in the profile's colour. A thin bar is a blank day inside a trip. In the Compact view a dot under a day means a trip is on that day, in the trip's profile colour.

A chip's colour comes from the day's name on the trip, the one set in Edit Day Details. The dot in the Compact view only says a trip is on that day.

Chips in the Detailed view

The day's name is checked for these words, in this order, and the first match sets the colour:

  • Amber: a travel day. The name contains "travel", or one of the words "flight", "fly", "flying" or "drive".
  • Sky blue: a day off. The name contains the word "off".
  • Purple: a rehearsal. The name contains "rehears…" or "load in", or the word "programming".
  • Blue: prep. The name contains "prep".
  • Green: a show. The name contains the word "show" or "gig", or "festival". Otherwise any day with a venue is a show, whatever it's called.
  • The profile's colour: any other named day (one with no venue).

What the chip says:

  • A name written as "Show @ The Grand" is split: the part before " @ " is the title and the place goes on the line below. Otherwise the title is the day's name, with its venue below; a day with a venue but no name shows the venue as its title.
  • A thin bar in the profile's colour is a blank day inside a trip, one with no name or venue. The first day of a trip with no name shows the trip's name instead of a bar.
  • A stand-alone date (not part of a trip) is a chip in its profile's colour, with its start time below.
  • Today has a bold blue number on a light blue background.
  • A day shows up to three chips; +N means there are more. Tap any chip to open that trip on that day.

Dots in the Compact view

  • A dot under a day means at least one trip (or a stand-alone date) is on that day. The dot takes the profile colour of the newest trip on that day.
  • The selected day is a filled circle: green, or blue when it's today. Today otherwise has a blue ring around its number.
  • Days from the month before or after are greyed out.
