Add cases and items to a pack

Open the pack and tap the green + at the bottom right. Pick cases and items (Items and Cases tabs, folders as tiles, Select All), then tap the green + at the top right to add them all. The green + on a case adds items straight into that case.

The green + on a pack opens a picker of your own assets. Tapping only picks: nothing changes in the pack until you tap the green + at the top right, and Close at the top left can leave the pack as it was.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. Open the pack and tap the green + at the bottom right (in an empty pack, Add Assets). The Add Assets sheet opens at full height.
  2. Choose Items or Cases with the pills near the top. The sheet opens on Cases.
  3. If the pack's profile holds some of your assets, a switch above the pills shows the profile (with its logo) and All Assets. On the profile, its folders show as tiles, as on the Assets page: tap a tile to open it (the title becomes the folder's name), and the ‹ bubble just above the tiles, named after the level above, goes back up. Tap the profile's name to jump to its top level. Each tile counts only the items or cases you're adding, and a folder with none is left out. On All Assets, a Categories menu filters the list instead.
  4. Search with the search field (Search items… or Search cases…). A search looks through the open folder and its subfolders, or the whole profile from the top.
  5. Tap each asset you want: its tick turns green. Tap again to unpick it. Select All above the list ticks everything shown (it becomes Deselect All).
  6. Tap the green + at the top right (it appears once you've picked something). Everything picked goes into the pack at once (cases as cases, items as loose items) and a message confirms it, such as "Added 5 items to Festival Rig".
  7. To fill one case, tap the green + on that case's row instead. The sheet is called Add Items to Drum Case 1, shows items only, and what you pick goes into that case.

An item that's already elsewhere in the pack (in another case, or loose) shows an orange tick and "In Drum Case 1" under its name. Tapping it asks Already in Drum Case 1, with Move to <the case you're filling> (or Move to Loose Items), Remove from Pack, or Cancel. Tap the row again to put it back as it was.

A case that's already in the pack shows a green tick. Tapping it asks whether to remove it: Remove Case and 3 Items takes its items out of the pack too. Nothing happens until you tap the green +.

Closing: Close (the X at the top left) goes straight out when nothing is picked. With picks, it asks Close without adding?, with Add Them, Don't Add or Cancel (or Close without saving?, with Save / Don't Save, when you've picked things to move or remove). While something is picked, the sheet can't be swiped away.

Website

On the website

The picker is the same sheet with the same pills, folders, search, Select All, orange ticks and questions.

  1. The green + at the bottom right of the pack's page (or Add Assets in an empty pack) opens Add Assets; the green + on a case's row opens Add Items to <case>.
  2. On a computer the sheet is centred and the cursor starts in the search field. On a phone it's a full-height sheet.
  3. Escape, the browser's Back button and a tap outside the sheet count as Close, so they ask before dropping your picks too.

Good to know

  • The picker lists only assets you own. Assets other people added to the profile can't be put in your pack (see What members can see and change: assets, packs, trips and logging).
  • Select All skips items that are in another case and cases already in the pack, because each of those needs its own answer.
  • An asset you add to a pack joins the pack's profile if it isn't in it yet, so it appears on that profile's Assets page as well (see Assets in more than one profile: where an asset shows up).
  • From version 1.0.1, taps pick and the green + applies them, the sheet opens full height with Items on the left, and the profile's folders show as tiles. Before that, each tap added or removed straight away.
  • Adding to a pack is for editors, admins and owners.
