Rename, duplicate, archive or delete a pack

Press and hold a pack on the Packs page, or tap the ··· button inside it, for Rename, Duplicate and Delete. Archive hides a pack from your own list without deleting it. Only the person who made a pack can delete it.

Every pack has the same four actions. On the Packs page they're behind a press and hold on the card; inside a pack, the ··· button at the top right has Rename, Duplicate and Delete (Archive is on the Packs page only).

  1. Rename: press and hold the pack on the Packs page (or tap ··· inside it, or press and hold the pack's header card) and choose Rename. Type the new name in the Rename Pack box and tap Rename.
  2. Duplicate: choose Duplicate. A copy named after the original with "(copy)" on the end appears in the list, with the same cases, items and notes. Rename it as you like.
  3. Archive: press and hold the pack on the Packs page and choose Archive. The pack leaves your list. To see archived packs, tap the ··· button at the top right of the page and turn on Show Archived; they show dimmed. Press and hold one and choose Unarchive to bring it back.
  4. Delete: choose Delete, then confirm Delete in the Delete Pack box ("Are you sure you want to delete "Festival Rig"? This cannot be undone.").

The same four actions are in each card's menu (the ··· button on the card, a right-click, or a press and hold); Rename, Duplicate and Delete are also in the ··· menu at the top right of a pack's page. Rename Pack and Delete Pack ask the same questions; Duplicate shows a "Pack duplicated" message with an Open button. Show Archived is in the ··· button beside the search field, and archived cards are marked Archived.

Good to know

  • Delete is only offered to the person who made the pack. Editors and admins can rename, duplicate and archive but not delete. Viewers and loggers can only archive, which affects just their own view.
  • Deleting a pack doesn't delete any assets. It can't be undone.
  • Archiving is personal: an archived pack is still there for everyone else in the profile.
  • A duplicate is a separate pack: changing one doesn't change the other. To keep a history of changes to the same pack instead, see Pack versions (v2, v3) and version history. To copy just one case into another pack, see Replace a case in a pack, or copy it to another pack.
  • To change the notes or photo, see Add notes or a photo to a pack.
