The Schedule: a day's stops in order

Open a trip and tap a day to see its Schedule, every stop in time order in its own local time. The arrows at the top move between days, a tap opens a stop, and the green + adds one.

A day's Schedule is its stops in time order, each shown in its own local time. The arrows at the top move between days, a tap opens a stop, and editors add stops with the green +.

iPhone app

On the iPhone app

  1. On the Trips tab, tap the trip. It opens on its list of dates.
  2. Tap a day. Its Schedule opens as its own page; < at the top left (with the trip's name) goes back.
  3. The bar under the title is the day navigator. < and > at each end go to the previous and next day (greyed out at the first and last). The date sits in the middle, such as "Sat 4 Oct", with "Day 2 of 5" under it when the trip has more than one day. Editors can press and hold the date to open Edit Day Details.
  4. Left of the date: a map pin (the venue and hotel map) and a notes icon (Day Notes). The pin is tinted blue when the day has a venue, hotel or other place set, and the notes icon when the day has notes.
  5. Each stop shows its time, name, location and, in capitals, the people tagged on it (a flight shows its route and flight number instead of a location). The icon on the left is its type, coloured by logging progress (see Stop types and their icons). The name is green while the stop is happening and grey once it's past; "~" means an approximate time, a bell a reminder, and a blue arrow at the right that it has notes.
  6. Tap a stop to open it: travel details with copy buttons, its Notes, then Edit Stop, Map (when it has a location) and Log Assets. A journey shows its logging phases instead of Log Assets (see Add a flight to a trip: Bag Drop, the flight and Bag Reclaim and Trains, coaches, ferries and drives: Boarding, Disembarking and the arrival reminder).
  7. Press and hold a stop for its menu (see The stop menu: press and hold a stop).
  8. Hide past appears at the top once the day has both finished and upcoming stops. Tap it to tuck the finished ones away and Show past to bring them back; the choice is remembered on this iPhone.
  9. The green + at the bottom right adds a stop. Pull down to refresh.

Website

On the website

Open Trips, the trip, then a day. The navigator is the same, plus a pencil right of the date (editors) that opens Edit Day Details; Edit Day is also in the trip's ··· menu. Each opened stop has a ··· button for its menu. On a computer the green Add Stop button sits under the list; on a phone it's the green + at the bottom right.

Good to know

  • Stops are ordered by their own local time, so a trip across time zones reads in the right order. An after-midnight stop can sit at the end of the night before (see Time zones: every stop shows in its own local time).
  • Viewers and loggers can read the Schedule but not add, edit or delete stops: that needs the editor role or above.
  • Offline, you see the copy on your device; changes sync when you're back online.
  • "No stops scheduled" means the day is empty. "No dates set" means the trip has no start and end dates yet; edit the trip to add them.
